Real Madrid midfielder, Luka Modric signs one-year contract extension at the club

Real Madrid midfielder, Luka Modric has signed a new one-year deal at the club.

The former Tottenham midfielder, who joined in 2012, has enjoyed a successful nine seasons in the Spanish capital, winning 12 major honours for Los Blancos including four Champions Leagues.

The Croatia International, 35, has played 48 times for Zinedine Zidane's side this season and featured in all four of Real's Champions League quarter-final and semi-final ties against Liverpool and Chelsea.

The club confirmed the news in an official statement on Tuesday May 25, which read: "Real Madrid CF and Luka Modri? have agreed to extend the player's contract, which remains with the club until June 30, 2022.

He said: I'm 35 but I feel like I'm only 27. I feel great.

You shouldn't look at the age, it's all about how we perform on the pitch, regardless of age. I'm still hungry for more, to continue playing at the highest level and I feel great.

FUAM students protest over delay in approval of final year results and NYSC mobilization.

The federal university of agriculture makudi (FUAM) students today 26th May 2021, staged out a peaceful protest over delay in aprroval of final year results and NYSC mobilization after graduation. Nhbnews was there to monitor the process noted that. The protest was led by 2017/2018 academic session as they matched down to North-core junction (e'tc center). Bill to scrap NYSC at second reading in House of Reps

Following calls for the discontinuation of the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria Alteration Bill, 2020, which is seeking to repeal the NYSC Act, has been billed for the second reading in the House of Representatives. The sponsor, Mr Awaji-Inombek Abiante, in the explanatory memorandum of the proposal, rolled out the various reasons the NYSC should be scrapped.
